More than just the economic heart of the Yangtze River, Chongqing is an epic of historical culture, culinary adventure, and spectacular wonder. This six-day journey delves deep into the city’s fabric, immersing you in its unique speed and excitement. It will also guide you to discover the authentic local flavour hidden within its alleys and lanes, experiencing its profound cultural warmth.
Journey Essentials
Indicative Investment: Most private China journeys begin from SGD 2,000 per person for one week, depending on the route, season, group size and accommodation. International flights and main meals are not included.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Embark on the Mountain City Adventure
Upon arrival in Yuzhong District, absorbing the modern pulse of Jiefangbei’s bustling commercial hub. Navigate the layers of the city at Kuixing Building, witnessing the 8D reality of stepping out from the 22nd floor directly at street level. Proceed to Hongya Cave, where traditional Ba-Yu stilted architecture illuminates the cliffs, perfectly framed by the impressive Qiansimen Bridge lights. Dinner is an authentic experience -- having spicy Hotpot inside historic air-raid shelters, where you’ll savour the perfect fusion of fiery cuisine and historical space.
Day 2: Chongqing’s Urban Wonders
Begin at Danzishi Old Street to admire the majestic vista where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers converge, then proceed to the sail-shaped landmark Raffles City. Delve into the rich migration history at the Huguang Guild Hall before undertaking the essential transit experience—a thrilling cross-river voyage via the iconic Yangtze Cableway. Day 4: Hiking the Summit of the Three Gorges
Embark early for the Three Gorges Summit scenic area in Fengjie County, located outside the immediate urban center. You will undertake the classic 6.8-kilometre hike, taking approximately four hours. Starting from Aokou, traverse the challenging Sixty-Six Bends before reaching the Qing Shan Village. Ascend to the designated 985 and 1314 lookout points, where you will be rewarded with a sweeping, unparalleled vista overlooking the grand spectacle of the Yangtze River carving its way into the Three Gorges.
